Classified documents from Obama era discovered in office used by Biden

  • Staff Report

According to a report from CNN, classified documents from the Obama administration were discovered in an office used by then-Vice President Joe Biden.

The lawyers of President Joe Biden found these documents, in a locked closet at the offices of the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement on November 2nd, while they were preparing to vacate the building.

As per the source connected to the investigation, one of the lawyers found a manila folder marked “personal” containing around ten classified documents, which included intelligence memos and briefing materials on Ukraine, Iran, and the United Kingdom. As soon as the lawyer saw these classified documents, they immediately contacted the National Archives and Records Administration.

Receiving these documents, the National Archives and Records Administration contacted the Justice Department. In response to this, Attorney General Merrick Garland assigned John Lausch Jr., the United States attorney in Chicago, to investigate the matter and decide whether criminal charges should be filed. This investigation is ongoing to determine the authenticity and the handling of these classified documents.
