Sabres win streak snapped with loss to Senators

The Buffalo Sabres had their six-game win streak snapped on Sunday night with a 3-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre. With the loss, Buffalo fell to 18-15-2 on the season.

The story of this game was missed opportunities. Buffalo had 34 shots on goal and three power plays but could not capitalize.

Zemgus Girgensons scored the lone goal for the Sabres, his fourth of the season.

Craig Anderson made his first start between the pipes in two weeks and played exceptionally well, stopping 30-of-32 shots.

The Sabres will try to get back in the win column on Tuesday night when they host Ottawa Senators at 7 p.m.
