The Buffalo Sabres (17-14-2) extended their season-long win streak to five games with a 6-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings (15-12-7) on Thursday night at KeyBank Center.
Captain Kyle Okposo led the way with a hat trick, his first since 2016 as a member of the New York Islanders. Casey Mittelstadt netted two goals, while Jeff Skinner also put one in the back of the net. Owen Power, Zemgus Girgensons, and JJ Peterka each notched a pair of assists.
