The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team (5-4) cruised past the Oakland Golden Grizzlies (2-9), 95-66, on Tuesday night at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Syracuse led by just three points with 5:57 left in the first half but went on an 18-0 run to take a 45-24 lead into the locker room. The offensive outburst continued in the second half as the Orange outscored Oakland 50-42 to secure the blowout victory.
Five players finished in double figures for Syracuse. Jesse Edwards and Joe Girard led the offense with 18 points apiece. Maliq Brown and Symir Torrence each netted 12, while Judah Mintz added 10.
