The price of postage is going up.
The United States Postal Service announced the price of Forever stamps and other postage increasing on January 22nd, 2023.
Inflation is expected to add around $1 billion to the Postal Service’s operating budget.
Letters will increase three cents, domestic postcards will increase four cents, and international postcards and letter will increase five cents.
“The Postal Service is also seeking price adjustments for Special Services products including Certified Mail, Post Office Box rental fees, money order fees and the cost to purchase insurance when mailing an item,” the USPS added.
It’s unclear how much these services will increase in cost at this point.
