Two popular events with town of Geneva residents were postponed last weekend, due to rain.
Events were postponed by rain last week
Geneva Town Supervisor Mark Venuti says the senior citizen cleanout day was held last weekend, with nine seniors getting help from town employees with removing no longer needed items from their homes. He says the fix-it clinic and free stuff day will be held this Sunday at the town Highway Garage at 32 White Springs Rd.
A group of volunteers will repair any items that are fixable to keep them out of the waste stream. For free stuff day, residents drop off their unwanted items, then whoever wants any of them can take them home. Venuti says typically, almost everything is claimed by the end of the day.
