Police were called to a report of shots fired on North Plain Street on Friday around 12:30 p.m.
According to a news release, officers found there was an altercation between two people, one of which displayed a firearm and fired multiple rounds toward the other person.
The shooter then fled in a vehicle.
Police say several shell casings were located at the scene, as well as other evidence of a shooting.
No victims have been located at this time.
Police added that the investigation is active. Anyone with information that could assist is urged to contact IPD.
