Rochester Red Wings fall short in loss to Toledo

The Rochester Red Wings’ comeback bid fell short in a 5-4 loss to the Toledo Mud Hens on Friday night at Frontier Field. Rochester has dropped three of the first four games in the six-game series.

Red Wings starting pitcher Franklyn Kilome allowed all five runs over four innings of work. The bullpen did an outstanding job as Andres Machado, Matt Cronin, Reed Garrett, and Connor Sadzeck all had scoreless appearances.

Andrew Stevenson crushed his 13th home run of the season, while Donovan Casey smacked his seventh. Lucius Fox and John Nogowski drove in runs as well.

The week-long series will continue on Saturday at 6:05 p.m.
