Teen ticketed for speeding after car collides with tree in Arcadia

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation of a personal injury crash that happened Friday around 12:30 p.m in Arcadia.

Alexander Moquin, 19, of Arcadia was traveling south on Chapel Street in Arcadia at an unsafe speed for road conditions, according to deputies, who say he lost control of the vehicle and crashed head-on into a tree.

Adriaan Sergeant, 25, of Lyons was riding in the vehicle and sustained an injury to his head in the crash. Both were transported to Newark Wayne Community Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Moquin was cited for speeding, failure to keep right, unregistered vehicle, and uninspected vehicle.

Deputies were assisted by Fairville firefighters, Lyons Town Ambulance, and Wayne County ALS.
