A Gates woman was arrested following a shoplifting incident on Thursday.
According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nautica Q. Maddox, 26, of Gates for petit larceny.
It is alleged that Maddox attempted to leave the Walmart in Macedon with over $130 in merchandise that was not paid for.
Maddox will appear before the Town of Macedon Court at a later date.
