State police say a Hornell contractor has been charged after taking money for work he never completed.
Steven Wing, 40, of Hornell took over $1,000 for work he was supposed to complete.
However, investigators say the work was never done.
The homeowner tried contacting Wing to have him pay back the money or finish the job. He didn’t respond, so the homeowner went to law enforcement.
Wing was charged with one count of grand larceny as a felony. The charge will be answered at a later date in local court.
