The New York Mets made a couple of roster moves before the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves.
The club placed veteran reliever Tommy Hunter on the 15-day injured list with lower-back tightness and recalled left-hander David Peterson from Triple-A Syracuse. Reliever Yoan López will serve as the 27th man for the doubleheader.
Peterson is slated to start the first game. The lefty is 5-2 with a 3.54 ERA this season.
Hunter made 11 appearances for the Mets this season, posting a 2.51 ERA.
