Officers arrested a Sodus man following a reported domestic incident on Wednesday.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Geoffrey D. Evans, 22, of Sodus for endangering the welfare of a child.

The charges stem from a domestic in June and it is alleged Evans handed his 6-year-old nephew a large kitchen knife and told him to kill himself with it.

Evans was remanded to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
