A Bloomfield man was arrested after leaving the scene of a crash on July 26.
According to a news release, the Canandaigua Police Department arrested Bruce Simmons, 67, of Bloomfield for leaving the scene of a personal injury crash.
Officers responded to a report of a bicyclist being struck by a vehicle on West Avenue. During the investigation, it was determined Simmons was traveling west on West Avenue when his vehicle struck a bicyclist who was also traveling west on the side of the road. Simmons continued to drive without reporting the accident.
Simmons will appear in the City of Canandaigua Court at a later date.
