All members of the Ontario and Wayne County Farm Bureaus are invited to a ‘Meet the Candidates’ event on August 19.
The joint bureau event will kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 19 at the Ontario County Fairground Carriage Barn at 2080 Country Road 10 in Canandaigua.
Candidates running in New York’s 24th Congressional District, 54th State Senate District, as well as the 130th, 131st and 133rd Assembly Districts have been invited to participate, said the NY Farm Bureau in a release.
Candidates will participate in Q&A, talk with Farm Bureau members
According to the release, the Meet the Candidates forum is an “informal, unbiased event that will be useful to Farm Bureau members and fair to each candidate.”
Each candidate will be allotted equal time to address the attendees during a question-and-answer session. Farm Bureau members will also have the opportunity to speak with candidates and share more about day-to-day farming concerns.
A chicken barbecue dinner will be available for $10 per person, also including salt potatoes, coleslaw and rolls. Reservations for dinner are required.
