The Buffalo Sabres brought back forward Brett Murray on a one-year contract worth $750,000, the team announced Monday.
Murray split time between Buffalo and the Rochester Americans last season. The 23-year-old scored two goals and collected four assists in 19 games with the Sabres. His first NHL goal came on November 29 against the Seattle Kraken.
In 52 games with Rochester, Murray recorded a career-high 32 points on 15 goals and 17 assists. He tallied three goals and three assist in 10 Calder Cup playoff games.
Murray was selected by Buffalo in the fourth round of the 2016 NHL Draft.
