Police are investigating an assault at the Ithaca Commons, which occurred during the overnight hours leading into the day on Saturday.
Around 1:11 a.m. police were called to the west end of the Commons. Upon arrival they found a victim laying on the ground, who had been knocked unconscious.
The victim was bleeding heavily from the head. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and according to a news release, the injuries are not life threatening.
The suspects were described by witnesses as two black males. One suspect was described as having dreadlocks, wearing a red Nike sweatshirt. The second suspect was described as wearing a blue track suit.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone who has information about it should contact IPD by any means.
