Dr. Peter Soscia, a Seneca Falls native and Mynderse Academy graduate, will assume the position on August 1, 2022. The position has a yearly salary of $92,000.
The board’s Tuesday, July 5 decision is the result of a second search for a town manager after the first produced no viable candidates. the board announced the second search- which resulted in the hiring of Soscia- in April 2022.
Before accepting the town manager position, Soscia was Campus Executive and Senior Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at Orange County Community College, according to Finger Lakes Daily News. He was previously Associate Dean of Instruction at Genesee Community College as well.
Before pivoting to higher education, Soscia worked in business. He holds a B.S. from St. John Fisher College, an M.B.A. from the University of Rochester, and an Ed.D. from Northeastern University.
