Police arrested a Newark man following an incident that happened last year.
Nathan Bates, 36, of Newark was arrested for second-degree forgery on July 6, 2022.
Police say the investigation began after an incident on July 9, 2021.
He’s accused of falsely completing a fraudulent check valued at $995.
Bates was processed and arraigned at the Ontario County Jail.
