The Syracuse Mets bounced back from Thursday’s loss with a 14-5 victory over the Norfolk Tides on Friday night at Harbor Park. The Mets have now won three of the first four games in this six-game series.
Syracuse scored 14 runs on 13 hits, with Cody Bohanek leading the way with three hits, and a game-high four RBIs. JT Ritter and Daniel Palka homered, while Dominic Smith and Mark Vientos each had two RBIs. Nick Meyer chipped in with an RBI as well. Johneshy Fargas had a three-hit game.
Connor Grey started on the mound for the Mets and surrendered all five runs over three innings. Eric Orze, Rob Zastryzny, Bryce Montes de Oca, and R.J. Alvarez had scoreless outings in relief.
The two teams will continue this six-game series on Saturday at 6:35 p.m.
