Palmyra-Macedon girls lacrosse season ends with loss to Skaneateles in Class D state semifinal

The Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders had their season come to an end on Friday afternoon with a 15-3 loss to the Skaneateles Lakers in the Class D state semifinal at SUNY Cortland.

Skaneateles dominated from the opening draw, scoring 11 first-half goals and holding Palmyra-Macedon to just one shot on goal. The Red Raiders found a little offense in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as the Lakers cruised to victory.

Palmyra-Macedon scored all three of their goals in the first few minutes of the second half.

The Red Raiders finished the season with a 16-6 record and a Section V Class D title.

Skaneateles will take on Bronxville in the Class D state championship on Saturday.
