Deputies in Orleans County say a 14-year-old from the Kendall School District and his parents have been charged in connection with a threat last week.
On May 25 the district reported a threat by social media. Deputies responded to the high school, detaining a student.
Deputies then searched the student, his locker, and school turning up nothing.
The investigation then moved to the student’s residence, according to News10NBC. The parents were not forthcoming.
Eventually weapons, ammunition, and electronic equipment was seized. The parents were charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
The student who made the alleged threat was sent to Strong Hospital for a mental hygiene evaluation and returned to his parents.
The charges will all be answered at a later date in local court.
