The New York Yankees fell to the Tampa Rays, 4-2, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Tropicana Field.
Gleyber Torres and Aaron Judge homered, but the story of the game was runners in scoring position. The Yankees just couldn’t get the big as they went 0-for-9 and left seven on base.
Ninth home run of the season for Gleyber Torres.

Luis Severino allowed four runs on just two hits over 6.1 innings while striking out eight. Ron Marinaccio really struggled in relief as he walked in a run and hit a batter with the bases loaded. However, both runs were charged to Severino. Clarke Schmidt tossed a scoreless inning.
Torres had three of New York’s nine hits.
The Yankees will get the day off Monday before they begin a three-game series with the Angels on Tuesday night in the Bronx.
