Many Americans living in Pennsylvania could see direct stimulus payments worth $2,000 under a new proposal.
The proposal was made by Governor Tom Wolf.

Under the proposal, $500 million would be going toward a stimulus program for state residents.
Those with a household income of $80,000 or less would qualify.
Payments could be worth up to $2,000.

The laws were introduced to the Senate and House, but have been slow to act on the proposal.
The federal stimulus funds need to be spent.
There is currently $2 billion dollars in the state of Pennsylvania’s possession that needs to be spent by Dec. 31, 2024.

If the money isn’t spent by that date, it needs to be returned to be returned to the federal government.
