BOYS SECTIONAL LACROSSE: Strong third quarter lifts Honeoye Falls-Lima over Wayne in Class C Semifinals

The Honeoye Falls-Lima Cougars and the Wayne Eagles faced off in the Boys Class C Semifinals at Canandaigua Academy on Friday evening. The Cougars came out victorious by a score of 14-7.

Early on in the game, it looked as if the contest was going to be decided in the final minutes of regulation or perhaps overtime. The game was tied 2-2 after the first quarter and 4-4 at the break. However, Honeoye Falls-Lima exploded for eight third-quarter goals to take a 12-4 lead into the fourth. The Eagles outscored Honeoye Falls-Lima 3-2 in the final quarter, but it wasn’t enough as the Cougars secured the victory.
