The Artworks Gallery will hold a Spring Landscape in Watercolor Workshop on Saturday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gallery located at 109 Fall Street in downtown Seneca Falls.
Workshop instructor Roberta Nelson says, “You will learn the basics of painting spring landscapes by applying various composition principles. I will explain various watercolor techniques, types of landscape compositions, to include aerial perspective. I will also go into the use of value masses, light, ground shadows, tree forms, and cloud formations.

Participants need to bring watercolors paints, (if using tube paints, do not use paints that say tints), brushes, 140lb. weight watercolor paper, a board larger than the paper size for stretching the paper, tape, paper towels, water container, and a photo of scene to be painted. Some landscape photos are available at the workshop.
