The Buffalo Sabres were blanked by the Boston Bruins, 5-0, on Thursday night at the TD Garden.
Buffalo outshot Boston 37-32, but just couldn’t find the back of the net.
Dustin Tokarski stopped 27-of-32 shots for the Sabres.
Patrice Bergeron recorded a hat trick for Boston while Taylor Hall and David Pastrnak also scored. Linus Ullmark made 37 saves to earn the shutout against his former team.
Buffalo finished 0-for-3 on the power play and 4-for-6 on the penalty kill.
The Sabres will host the Chicago Blackhawks in the regular-season finale on Friday night. Face-off is slated for 7 p.m.
