One vehicle was struck by gunfire, and police are still investigating after a shooting in the city of Ithaca over the weekend.
Police responded to the 100 block of Hudson Street near the intersection with Giles Street for the report of shots fired on Sunday.
The call came in during the early morning hours around 1:09 a.m.
The shots had been heard approximately 30 minutes before the call being made to police, but numerous people in the area believed they were gunshots, according to police.
Officers found evidence of at least one vehicle being struck by gunfire. No injuries were reported.
A dark colored sedan was witnessed leaving the area and may have been involved.
Anyone with information about the incident, or neighbors with surveillance footage- all are encouraged to contact IPD.
The investigation is active.
