A seasoned local government employee is set to assume the newly-created role of operations officer for Cayuga County this May.
Shereen Androsko, a current supervisor for the Cayuga County Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), will assume the new position on May 2, according to The Citizen. The operations officer position was created by the county Legislature at a meeting in September 2021.
In her new role, Androsko will be responsible for leading county department heads in collaboration with Legislature Chairperson David Gould, who announced Androsko’s appointment earlier this week.
The operations officer’s starting salary range is $69,642-$80,301. Androsko’s starting rate was not revealed to the public in Thursday’s announcement. The devoted county employee has worked for the county DMV since 2008 and received a degree in business administration and health and human services from Empire State College in 2010.
