The Yates County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) are offering county residents an opportunity to dispose of expired, unwanted, or unused prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike announced the next National Rx Drug Take Back Day will take place on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the County Courthouse, according to The Chronicle Express.
Yates County Sheriff’s officers will accept and dispose of over-the-counter, prescription drugs and pet prescriptions at the April 30 drive-through event. The event is anonymous, no-questions-asked and you do not need to exit your vehicle.
Additionally, permanent drug drop-boxes are available from the Sheriff’s Office at the Public Safety Building in Penn Yan 24/7 as well as Monday – Friday at the Starkey Town Hall in Dundee.
