New York State Police are asking for the public’s assistance investigating a hit-and-run that happened in the town of DeWitt on Sunday.
Between 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Route 298 a vehicle was traveling west toward Court Street, when it veered off the road and struck a pedestrian.
The vehicle immediately left the scene.
Meanwhile, the victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital with a compound fracture to their right leg, broken spine, and broken ribs.
Police ask anyone who might have information about the hit-and-run to call (315) 366-6000.
