Eligibility for the child tax credit was based upon the recipients adjusted gross income (AGI). Individuals with an AGI less than $75,000, or married couples under $150,000 were entitled to the entire credit. Read more about it here.
If you opted out of monthly payments you could get up to $3,600 per child depending on their ages and your earnings. In order to claim this, you’ll have to do it today. April 18 is the tax deadline this year. All of the money will be available in your tax refund from the IRS.
