The Syracuse Orange women’s lacrosse team (12-3, 6-1 ACC) got off another slow start, scoring just two goals in the first quarter. With the game tied at eight two minutes into the third quarter, the Orange scored 12 goals that quarter to extend its lead to 20-10 and eventually pull away for a 23-13 victory over the Louisville Cardinals (6-9, 1-6 ACC) on Saturday afternoon.
Meaghan Tyrrell and Emily Hawryschuk led Syracuse with five goals each. Olivia Adamson, Savannah Sweitzer and Jenny Marker each netted a hat trick.
Goalkeeper Kimber Hower made eight saves.
