A Syracuse University staple and one of the most well-known venues in NCAA competition will have a notable change moving forward. Longtime naming rights partner Carrier will no longer have its name attached to the dome, and local technology company JMA Wireless has bought the naming rights according to Sportico.
It is not known at this time how much or how long the deal with JMA Wireless is. Carrier had held the naming rights since the dome opened in 1980 after making a donation to Syracuse University the year prior which included having the naming rights to the dome for its entire life. An announcement regarding the new naming rights deal is expected within the next few weeks.
