Cornell attackman CJ Kirst was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Monday.
Kirst has now earned that honor three times this season.
The sophomore recorded six points on three goals and three assists in Cornell’s 17-9 win over No. 11 Harvard on Saturday. He also caused a career-high three turnovers.
Kirst has tallied at least five points in six of the 10 games this season.
For the season, Kirst ranks in the top five in the league in goals (fourth, 32), points (fourth, 49) and assists (fifth, 17).
Cornell will look for its fourth consecutive victory on Monday when they head to Syracuse. Face-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
