The Syracuse Crunch blanked the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, 1-0, on Saturday night at Upstate Medical University Arena.
Gemel Smith scored the only goal of the game in the second period. Nick Perbix and Daniel Walcott collected assists.
Max Lagace made 48 saves to earn the shutout. Louis Domingue turned aside 30-of-31 shots for the Penguins.
Syracuse finished 0-for-4 on the power play and a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
The Crunch will be back in action on Wednesday when they face off with the Springfield Thunderbirds at Massmutual Center.
