Democrat Conole secures place on June primary ballot for NY-22

Francis Conole has officially secured his place on the June primary ballot for New York’s 22nd Congressional District.

Conole, D-Syracuse, submitted upwards of 5,000 signatures to quality for the Democratic primary on June 28, according to The Citizen.

Conole filed the most petition signatures out of any of the six Democrats vying for the party’s nomination for the congressional seat. The district includes all of Onondaga and Tompkins counties and portions of Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Ontario, Schuyler, and Seneca counties.

Members of the Cayuga and Onondaga Democratic committees- both of which previously endorsed Conole- circulated petitions, along with volunteers, to secure Conole’s place on the ballot.

Conole is one of the leading candidates for the Democratic nomination. Currently, his campaign has $362,000 cash on hand.
