College is incredibly expensive for most, and scholarships are often the way people are able to afford a higher education.
The average cost for a degree from a college in the United States is an average of $35,000 per year for each students.
In addition to tuition, students also need to pay or housing, school supplies, and other fees.
One way for students to get a scholarship is through certain fast food restaurants.

30 awards each year go out of high school seniors from McDonald’s.
Those who receive it must be of Hispanic heritage and have at least a 2.8 GPA.
This is through the HACER National Scholarship.
The scholarships are worth as much as $100,000.
The applications will be reopened for this award in the fall.

Taco Bell scholarship
$7 million dollars were given out to students this year through the Live Más Scholarship this year.
Applicants are asked to send in a short video saying what their plans are and how they plan to make a difference.
Students between the ages of 16 and 26 may apply for the awards worth $5,000-$25,000.
The application window for the past year was open Nov. through Jan.

Dunkin’ Donuts scholarship
In the city of Philadelphia, Dunkin’ Donuts offers 20 scholarships worth $5,000 each.
In order to qualify, students need to live in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware county and hold a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Applications are being accepted until April 20 and the winners will be announced in June this year.

Wendy’s scholarship
Wendy’s and the Heisman Trophy Trust partnered in 1992 to give awards to student athletes.
Students must hold a 3.0 or higher GPA and belong to one sport.
This award is worth up to $10,000.
There are also scholarships worth $2,000 and $1,000 given to 100 students each year.
