The No. 4 Syracuse Orange women’s lacrosse team handed the No. 6 Loyola Greyhounds their first loss of the season with a 14-13 win at the Carrier Dome on Tuesday night.
Syracuse led 14-9 with just over 13 minutes remaining, but Loyola scored four consecutive goals to cut the lead to one. However, their comeback fell just short.
Emma Tyrrell led the Orange with four goals. Emily Hawryschuk netted a hat trick while Olivia Adamson, Sam Swart and Meaghan Tyrrell also recorded multi-goal games.
