Livingston County announces 4th annual Community CleanUp Event

Livingston County and the Livingston County Environmental Management Council (EMC) are pleased to announce the fourth annual Community CleanUp event to commemorate Earth Days’ 52nd Anniversary.

They are calling on community groups, local organizations, and individuals to host a local CleanUp event and/or encourage volunteers to help out a local event on or around Earth Day weekend (April 16 – April 30). The goal is to unite as a collective community to improve the environmental health of the County and municipalities.

Livingston County is seeking to return to the success of pre-pandemic Community CleanUp events, which took place throughout Livingston County and engaged more than 150 volunteers to help cleanup parks, cemeteries, and miles of roadside.

Those wishing to participate can organize an event of their own or join a scheduled event posted on the website listed below. Potential project areas include cemeteries, parks, roadsides, historic properties, community gardens, trails, schools and other public spaces. To register a CleanUp event in your community or see where you can volunteer, please visit here.
