Police say an Ithaca man was arrested following a traffic stop.
According to a news release, the Ithaca Police Department arrested Damien D. Blackman, 42, of Ithaca for weapon and drug possession.
Blackman was initially pulled over for a traffic law violation. During the course of the stop, Blackman was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl. Following the search of the motor vehicle, a digital scale and 9mm handgun were located. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.
Blackman was arraigned and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail.
