The Dryden Town Board passed a March 10 resolution to establish an affordable and workforce housing committee.
The resolution, which passed unanimously, states the new committee will “focus on owner and rental housing deficiencies and identify various impediments to the construction and rehabilitation of such housing in the town and in the villages,” referring to Dryden and Freeville.
The make-up of the committee includes two Town Board members and representatives from each village, according to Tompkins Weekly. Committee appointments could be made as early as the Town Board’s Thursday, March 17 meeting.
