The community is invited to a two-day hands-on workshop the weekend of March 19–20 to join together to paint an original floor mural on the first floor of The Dove Block Project, 465 Exchange St., Geneva, NY. The workshop is free and appropriate for all ages; all are welcome to don their favorite messy painting clothes and join the creative fun.
Artists Victor Pulitnas and Bernadette Bos will lead the project and guide participants through the process of creating three colorful floor murals throughout the main sections of the first floor of the Dove Block where lectures, art exhibits, and workshops are held throughout the year. Designs inspired by the art of Arthur Dove will be laid out and ready for all the artists to “paint by numbers” with rollers, brushes, and sponges.
Floor painting is organized by age group. Saturday, March 19 is dedicated to children under age 13 with an adult, and Sunday, March 20 is planned for ages 13 and above. Each day will run 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, broken into two-hour time slots to allow many people to register each day. All materials will be provided.
To register, go to www.thedoveblockproject.org and choose ‘workshops.’
