Cornell shuts out Princeton to close out regular season

The Cornell men’s hockey team closed out the regular season with a 4-0 win over Princeton on Saturday night at the Hobey Baker Memorial Rink.

Cornell goaltender Ian Shane made 23 saves to earn his second straight shutout.

Jeremie Forget stopped 30-of-33 shots in the loss.

Both teams were unable to capitalize on their power play opportunities as Cornell went 0-for-4 and Princeton finished 0-for-3.

Sullivan Mack, Sebastian Dirven, Liam Motley and Kyle Penney all netted goals for the Big Red.

Cornell earned the No. 4 seed in the ECAC Hockey Tournament, so they will receive a first-round bye.
