The Republican Party in Seneca County is endorsing the candidate from Geneva in a primary contest to see who represents them in November’s general election.
The newly drawn Congressional maps means that whoever represents the 24th District will have a tall order, representing communities that stretch from Western New York to the eastern shores of Lake Ontario.
The Seneca County Republican Party and Seneca County Conservative Party endorsed Mario Fratto, over incumbent U.S. Representative Chris Jacobs.
“It is with great honor that the Seneca County Republican Committee supports and endorses local prominent businessperson and attorney Mario Fratto for Congressman of the 24th Congressional District,” Republican Chair Tom Fox said in a release. “Mario is a fighter who will stand up for the people of this district, and we are behind him 100%.”
Seneca County Conservative Party Chair William White added his support in the two-pronged endorsement.
“I’m honored to receive these endorsements that send a message that our campaign has momentum in this race,” Fratto said in a release. “New York’s 24th Congressional District must not compromise and send a committed conservative to Congress who will put the brakes on the Biden Regime and fight to defend the working people of this district and their values.”
