Pittsford native Chris Lillis earns Olympic Gold Medal

Pittsford native Chris Lillis is now an Olympic Gold Medalist after winning gold in the mixed team aerial skiing event on Thursday.

Chris Lillis is one of three U.S. freestyle skiers who have earned medals in the 2022 Winter Games so far, giving the U.S. its first Olympic freestyle skiing medals in over a decade, according to Rochester First.

Lillis earned gold by completing a quintuple jump, which has the highest degree of difficulty.

He has a chance to win another medal on Thursday, February 15 in the men’s aerial event.
