Tax season has officially begun and Americans everywhere have started submitting their returns to the IRS.
Now they want to track their refunds.
Once the IRS has your return on hand, it will let you know what stage of processing it’s in.
If the tracker notifies you that it’s “received” then your return is in the middle of being processed.
After the “received” tab is “approved” which means your submitted return has been approved and you will soon see your refund.
Tracking my refund from the IRS
You can track your refund through the IRS website.
You need to know your SSN, marital status, and how much the amount of your refund is.
To track you need to enter the date of your tax return and how you filed it.
The status of refunds are updated every 24 hours.
You should see your refund direct deposited into your bank account within 21 days of filing your return.
Your return must be entirely correct to see your refund that quickly.
