There’s still plenty of Cuomo supporters out there, despite the former governor resigning in August 2021 after the New York Attorney General’s report concluded he had sexually harassed multiple women.
That goodwill largely comes from the name Cuomo made for himself on a national scale with his televised daily press briefings at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Albany Times-Union. Cuomo’s campaign filings made public last week show smalltime donors are still contributing, despite him giving no indication of plans to run for public office again.
Filings show the former governor has raised roughly $32,000 in small donations since his resignation on August 10, 2021.
