The No. 8 Cornell men’s hockey team (13-4-1, 8-2-1 ECAC) bounced back from a loss to Princeton on Friday by knocking off top-ranked Quinnipiac (18-2-3, 9-1-1 ECAC) in overtime 2-1 at Lynah Rink on Saturday night.
Junior forward Ben Berard gave the Big Red a 1-0 lead in the second period on a power-play goal. The Bobcats tied the game early in the third period on a goal by TJ Friedmann. Berard would come up big again for Cornell by scoring the game-winner on another power-play with 16 seconds left to go in overtime.

Freshman goaltender Ian Shane made 33 saves for Cornell. Yaniv Perets finished with 18 saves for Quinnipiac.
Cornell hosts Dartmouth on Friday, January 28 at 7 p.m.
