Police are searching for a 44-year-old Hicks Street resident who’s wanted on a felony arrest warrant in the Penn Yan area.
According to police, Elwood Hilligus, 44, of Penn Yan, also goes by the nickname ‘Teeter’.
He’s known to frequent the Dundee and Elmira areas. In a news release, police described him as a person with a violent history, who has been known to carry weapons.
“He should be considered armed and dangerous,” police said in the news release.
He’s around 6 feet tall, and weighs 300 lbs. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
